Cantonment Board, Barrackpore is responsible for overall sanitations of the Cantonment areas such as garbage lifting, waste disposal, cleaning of drains, public roads and various public places. The sanitation section of Cantonment Board, Barrackpore looks after such areas in order to provide and clean and safe environment.The Board has also started door to door collection of waste, plastic dustbins are placed at suitable locations and the waste is collected mechanically from there for disposal in the Solid Waste Management plant at the trenching ground.
Citizens Responsibilities
1. The citizens are responsible for deposit of garbage at the dust bins provided by the Board.
2. The citizens shall not use or permit anyone to use any place as latrines or urinals which is not intended for the purpose.
3. Citizens shall take all reasonable means to prevent child from easing in public street or public places.
4. . The citizens shall provide receptacles of self-closing type within their premises.
5. The occupier of all Bungalow/Houses will keep their premises neat and clean.
